Keypoint Law welcomes Mathew Kaley, a leading financial services lawyer, with over two decades of experience advising insurance and financial services companies on complex regulatory, commercial and governance matters.
Mathew joins Keypoint from McCabes, where he has led their Financial Services Advisory practice since 2019. Prior to that, he served for nearly 18 years as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Allianz Australia – a role that positioned him at the forefront of legal and regulatory developments in the insurance sector.
“Mathew’s joining is a significant and welcome addition to the firm, enhancing our depth in financial services and regulatory law, and further strengthening our ability to serve both large institutional clients and SMEs in these areas,” says Warren Kalinko, Keypoint Law’s Chief Executive Officer.
This announcement comes as Keypoint Law continues to build on its impressive growth trajectory. Recently, Kalinko reflected on the firm’s decade of success in a sit down with Lawyers Weekly, discussing how Keypoint’s innovative and client-centric approach to legal practice has helped drive its national expansion. The firm’s growth is a testament to its ability to attract top-tier legal talent, further reinforcing its accelerating position as a major national firm in the Australian legal market.
Commenting on his new role with Keypoint, Mathew said:
“Keypoint’s offering of top-tier lawyers across such a broad scope of commercial expertise makes it a very attractive home for my practice. I’m very excited to be joining Warren and the Keypoint Law team.”
