Covering industries in real estate, hotel and leisure, education and school, trade, technology and renewables, Dave advises clients on a wide range of legal issues, including aspects unique to not-for-profit organisations and cross-border transactions, both inbound and outbound of Australia. Dave has assisted hundreds, if not more, local and overseas clients in building up their businesses and staying out of disputes and litigation in Australia and abroad.

Dave has recently acted on a range of commercial and residential property developments, shopping centre and hotel acquisitions. He has also acted on a solar farm joint venture for an international power company, on mining transactions for an ASX-listed company, and various purchases and sales of a broad range of businesses. In addition, he has acted with counsel on several significant litigation matters in the Queensland Supreme and District Courts and the Federal Courts.

With over 22 years of experience as a commercial, property and dispute resolution lawyer, Dave has worked with prominent and specialist Australian law firms and in sole practice for over 10 years. Highly regarded for his commerciality, underpinned by strong technical skills and a careful, thorough approach, Dave has built a strong following of corporate, professional and high-net-wealth clients. He has also served on boards of traditional owners and not-for-profit organisations.

As a native Chinese Mandarin and Taiwanese speaker, he also speaks conversational Cantonese and Japanese. Dave has delivered a number of corporate governance and legal training sessions in both English and Mandarin to senior executives, legal colleagues and students, based in Australia and overseas.
