Keypoint Law is delighted to announce that accomplished litigator Sonia Whitehouse has been appointed as a Consulting Principal in Brisbane.

Sonia has a strong track record assisting developers and private clients to successfully navigate planning and other regulatory approval processes. She represents clients in originating applications in the Planning and Environment Court and on appeals from that Court. She also acts for clients defending prosecutions of planning and environmental offences.

Prior to joining Keypoint, Sonia was Director of Brisbane boutique firm HWS Lawyers, and before that was a Senior Associate at Barry.Nilsson.

Warren Kalinko, Keypoint’s CEO, said:

“Sonia brings first class expertise in environment and planning to the firm, and adds further depth to our strong litigation practice. Her extensive experience and strategic approach will no doubt benefit our clients. We are delighted to have Sonia join us in Brisbane as we continue to grow our team of talented and client-focused lawyers.”

Commenting on her decision to join Keypoint, Sonia said:

“After more than 8 years of running my own legal services business, I expected that it would be difficult to find the right workplace that would allow me the luxury of flexibility in the workplace whilst still providing clients with a first-class service. My expectations were proving to be correct until I was introduced to Keypoint Law. It is clear to me that Keypoint Law is committed to providing clients with a premium service and lawyers with a comfortable work environment, uninterrupted by convention and tradition. I am excited to be joining this team of highly specialised and talented lawyers.”

Keypoint’s flexible model and equal remuneration structure continues to attract talented senior female lawyers looking to take control of their careers. 41% of Keypoint’s Consulting Principals are women, almost twice the average of female partners in law firms.
