Keypoint Law is delighted to announce that respected UK music lawyer Nick Weaser has joined the firm.

Nick advises a diverse range of artists, producers, songwriters and managers on all aspects of their careers and across the full spectrum of music industry contracts.

Nick has extensive experience representing clients in the Australian music industry, as well as in the UK, Europe and United States.

He is recognised as “an expert adviser to the music and wider entertainment industry” by The Legal 500 (2021).

Nick will initially be practising at Keypoint as an Australian registered foreign lawyer, continuing to advise his Australian clients on the basis of the laws of England and Wales.  However, once Nick is admitted locally, his practice will expand to cover the laws of Australia. Nick complements Keypoint’s existing Media and Entertainment team, which includes Paul Noonan in Melbourne.  Paul is recognised by Best Lawyers as one of Australia’s leading entertainment lawyers.

Commenting on Nick’s appointment, CEO Warren Kalinko said:

Nick’s joining develops a new chapter for Keypoint, as we expand our focus on the music industry in Australia.  Nick’s experience representing artists, songwriters and other creatives in Australia, the UK, Europe and the United States, positions us well to expand our offering in this exciting sector.  We’re delighted Nick has joined us”.

Speaking about his appointment, Nick Weaser stated:

Experiencing the cutting-edge Keystone Law model in the UK, my clients are delighted with the bespoke and flexible service that I am able to provide. With an ever-growing Australian client base, it was an easy decision to join Keypoint at such an exciting time in its growth, and to provide to my Australian clients everything that the firm has to offer”.

Nick joins us from Keystone Law in the UK, where he remains a Partner in respect of his non-Australian practice.

Ends.
