Vik is a leading private wealth lawyer with more than 15 years’ experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners and family offices on complex estate planning, SMSFs, asset protection, commercial and tax matters.

Known for his practical, solutions-focused approach, Vik works closely with clients to develop tailored strategies that protect and grow wealth across generations. His ability to think laterally and navigate technically complex issues has made him a trusted adviser to matriarchs, patriarchs and SMEs seeking clear, commercial outcomes in often sensitive and high-stakes contexts.

Vik is also widely regarded as the “adviser’s adviser”, providing specialist legal guidance to accountants, financial planners and financial services firms on the delivery of private wealth legal services to their clients.

A recognised leader in his field, Vik is considered Australia’s pre-eminent expert on testamentary trusts. He is the author of leading texts on the subject, including Testamentary Trusts: Strategies and Precedents (LexisNexis, 4th edition, 2024), and was the recipient of the inaugural Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Award for Wills & Estates.

Alongside his legal practice, Vik has contributed significantly to the profession through governance roles, including his current position as President of the ACT Law Society and his earlier positions on the board of that Law Society and its disciplinary and conduct committee.  Vik also serves as a Director of the Law Council of Australia.

Vik holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong, a Juris Doctor from the Australian National University, and a Master of Tax from the University of Sydney.
